Gymnastics World Cup: Aruna Reddy becomes first Indian to clinch individual medal.

Aruna Budda Reddy created history on Saturday afternoon by becoming the first Indian gymnast to clinch an individual medal at the Gymnastics World Cup in Melbourne. The 22-year-old gymnast won a bronze medal in the women’s vault. She scored 13.649 to finish behind gold medallist Tjasa Kysslef of Slovenia and Emily Whitehead of Australia who took silver. The other Indian gymnast in the competition, Pranati Nayak finished on the sixth spot with a score of 13.416.This is the first time when an Indian has won an individual medal at the Gymnastics World Cup.
