Kasturba Hospital gets ‘mercury-free’ certificate

Kasturba Hospital, has moved from conventional mercury-based equipment to safer digital instruments. A statement issued by the hospital here on Friday said that the dial type BP apparatus and digital infra-red thermometers are accurate and do not pose any environmental hazards. Kasturba Hospital, received a ‘mercury-free hospital’ declaration certificate from M. Dayanandam former Medical Superintendent and COO, Kasturba Hospital.
