But sadly most of us don't know what their names, rather abbreviations, stand for. Do you know what PVR stands for, or the brand IBM, whose computer you might have had used, means? Perhaps not. Apart from these, there are several other brands which are actually abbreviations.

1. AMUL 

AMUL stands for Anand Milk Federation Union Limited, was founded in 1946.


2. BMW

BMW is the acronym of Bavarian Motor Works (English) and  Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (Germany). It was founded on 7th March 1916. 


3. BPL

BPL is the acronym of British Physical Laboratories, was founded in 1963. 


4. BSA

BSA stands for Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited, was founded in 1861.

The full form of JK is derived from the initials of Kamlapatji and his father Seth Juggilal.
